ONTARIO NOT SO GREAT, DOUG

Premier Doug Ford expresses concern over gunfire aimed at the U. S. consulate, referring to Ontario as the greatest jurisdiction on Earth. While I agree that the shooting is unacceptable, that’s where our agreement ends.

Todays students will be Ontarios future. So what’s Ford doing to secure that future? Why are outrageous changes being made to OSAP just so it can be “sustainable” while sacrificing quality education?

PMeanwhile , he plans to squander millions on his silly vanity projects. These include boring tunnels under Highway 401 or filling parts of Lake Ontario for a new convention center along with other ridiculous actions like pouring out Crown Royal bottles for show.

PAs this unfolds over last year , he has had more weeks off for recess than in session. Education Minister Paul Calandra suspends elected school board trustees , educational institutions decline , opportunities diminish , while our health system , highways , and other critical infrastructures continue to fall apart due to lack of funding.

No wonder I haven’t voted Conservative in the last two elections in Ontario – I’ll keep withholding support as long as Ford clings onto his foolish ideas while failing key areas within this province.

MIKE ALAIN OTTAWA LONG-TERM DEAL NEEDED

If we want our country to thrive moving forward , there needs to be a solid financial agreement between government bodies & First Nations paired with arrangements for future developments like pipelines & energy corridors. Regardless of how much taxpayers contribute , there’s always a bigger demand coming their way.

PWe should create a long-term deal – maybe lasting around fifty or hundred years- pooling all resources together so each First Nation decides how much they need.

The notion that we have fight every single time before putting shovels into ground makes no sense when living in a resource-heavy economy. WAYNE BOYCE CARLETON PLACE TIME STAMP

A once again we’re stressing over a simple hour shift twice yearly! My kids work as first responders & I’ve done shift work myself for fifteen years.

Instead of worrying about springing forward let’s spare some thought for those thousands who must adjust their body clocks by twelve hours multiple times each month!

MARVIN SANDOMIRSKY OSHAWA ONT. LACK OF LEADERSHIP

The Prime Minister Mark Carney parades around promoting major trade agreements globally. If he thinks China will stop interfering in Canadian politics or India will overlook previous trade problems due these deals then he’s seriously mistaken. His vague responses regarding US-Israel conflict involving Iran were downright poor.
We are completely leaderless.
BILL SHOLDICE
MISSISSAUGA ONT. HAVE YOUR SAY
