Human stays present in rural Ontario have been recognized as an Ottawa resident.

Police responded to a report of suspected human stays found on North River Street, north of Cedar Lake in Head, Clara and Maria Township on Sunday, Dec. 28, at roughly 8 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police mentioned.

Head, Clara and Maria Township is situated about 130 kilometres east of North Bay and about 220 kilometres from Ottawa.

On Tuesday, the OPP mentioned the stays have been recognized as 26-year-old Hakim Muhikira of Ottawa.

Preliminary info means that there aren’t any indicators of a broader menace, police mentioned.

However, residents might discover an elevated police presence within the space because the investigation continues.

Additional updates will probably be supplied as new info turns into out there.

The North Bay OPP Crime Unit, beneath the route of the OPP Prison Investigation Department, together with the Workplace of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, continues the investigation.

Anybody with info that will help the investigation is urged to contact the North Bay OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Do you have to want to stay nameless, contact Crime Stoppers on-line or at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
