We are heartbroken to share the passing of Agnes Barbara Ward (née Dueck; formerly Carnegie) on the morning of May 13th, 2026 in Picton, Ontario, Canada. Agnes was the loving wife of the late Ron Ward; mother to Valerie, Thomas, and John; chosen mother to Vicky Grimshaw; grandmother to Renée Bleakely, David Evans, Jacqueline Kerr, Isobel Carnegie, Jack Carnegie, Lori Cerqua, and Sarah Bell, along with many great-grandchildren.

We extend our gratitude to the staff at Hallowell House in Picton for their caring and professional support for Agnes during these past months.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Agnes’ life will be held in Orillia, Ontario this coming summer (date and location to be announced).

If you’d like to honor Agnes with a donation, please consider Covenant House in Toronto https://covenanthousetoronto. ca/and/or The Sharing Place in Orillia https://sharingplaceorillia. org/donate-funds/.
