Surrounded by loved ones, Enrico passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the age of 90.

He was a devoted husband to Teresa for 67 years. As a loving father “Babuzzo” to Fiore (Sue), Eugenio “Gigi” (Trish), Richard (Teresa), Grace Dick (Graeme) and Patricia. He was a proud Nonno to Michael (Alyssa), Anthony (Marissa), Nikki (Chris), Enrico (Melissa), Madeline (Zach), Matteo and Carson. A joyful Bisnonno to Matteo, Luca, Lorenzo, Ricardo and Liliana. He was predeceased by his parents Grazia and Fioramante Ianni-Palarchio. He leaves behind his dear sister Luigina (late Egidio) Mannarino and brothers Michele (Nanda), Giovanni (late Tina), Fernando (Franca) and Mario (Nadia). He was also son-in-law to late Antonio and late Mafalda Buffone and brother-in-law to Joe Buffone (Cecile) and late Eugenio Buffone (Rosina Lamantea). A special Zio to many nieces and nephews. Enrico will be fondly remembered by numerous friends and acquaintances.

Enrico lived a colorful life filled with challenges and achievements in Campora San Giovanni, Cosenza, Italy as well as Northern Ontario. His tales are rich with Italian proverbs alongside his own unique expressions.
Whether you’re in the food industry or not, his life serves as an example of laughter, entrepreneurship, and keeping family close together. Combine two countries, one war experience, countless hours of hard work, several mentors, a bit of luck, creativity, determination that never wavers-what you get is an inspiring story that spans seven decades of business adventures.

As the song says “I did it my way”
