With Windsor’s municipal election day just around the corner, it’s almost time for voters to make their voices heard. If you’re casting your vote in Ward 2 – which covers the west-end areas including Sandwich Town and the University of Windsor – here’s a look at your city council candidates, listed alphabetically and sharing their own thoughts.

What are your top priority issues and how will you address them if elected?
After securing my seat in the 2025 Ward 2 byelection, I am dedicated to seeking a full term. A year isn’t enough time to tackle the pressing concerns facing Ward 2 and West Windsor. My focus will be on two main areas.
First, addressing the “Little Things that Matter”: enhancing bylaw enforcement, improving residential rental standards, implementing effective traffic calming measures, and ensuring our streets, neighborhoods, and parks are cleaner through better street sweeping, bulk-item pickup, rodent control and action against illegal dumping.
Second, I aim to create a long-term vision for Ward 2 and West Windsor focused on neighborhood renewal and regeneration. This involves planning for Benson, taking action on vacant homes, shaping Huron Church Road’s future, reopening Adie Knox community center, preserving our heritage sites, developing affordable housing options, and encouraging families back into our neighborhoods.
This won’t be easy; we may need some luck along the way. But I’ll keep showing up with updates, listening closely to residents’ needs while doing my utmost for Ward 2.

My two biggest priorities for Ward 2 are fiscal responsibility and community-led neighborhood revitalization. Too often city hall decisions place unnecessary financial pressure on everyday residents through property tax hikes. To address this I will advocate smart resource allocation while seeking provincial and federal grants instead of burdening local taxpayers.
Secondly many historic high-density corridors-from Sandwich Town all the way through Huron Church-need immediate attention to enhance safety maintain housing stability as well as upkeep neighborhoods overall. Rather than waiting around for bureaucratic processes I’m committed towards grassroots initiatives : working directly alongside residents tenants local groups revitalizing streets supporting local businesses protecting unique community character. Real representation means keeping our neighborhoods clean safe affordable everyone who calls ward two home.
Also running in ward two but did not respond CBC’s election questionnaire include Nick Markham Cynthia Van Vrouwerff.
