With heavy hearts, we share the news of Marisa (Mancini) Taricani’s passing at the age of 78. In her last moments on Sunday, May 3, she was surrounded by her loving family and friends as she began her journey to Heaven and into God’s embrace, where she is now free and at peace.
A devoted mother, Marisa leaves behind her three children: Lorena (Max), Sabrina (Frank), and Ettore. She was a beloved Nonna to Noah, Dante, and Massimo, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Born in Civitella Casanova, a village in Abruzzo Italy, she spent most of her life in Canada. Throughout her years, Marisa held a deep love for Jesus Christ and her family. Her faith was central to who she was and provided strength during tough times. She had a passion for flowers, gardening, and creating beautiful arrangements. Family and friends will remember her for the strength and kindness that guided her life.
Though we feel the deep loss of her presence, the love she shared will always remain in the hearts of those who knew her. We find solace knowing she is enveloped in eternal love with Jesus Christ. Marisa’s spirit continues through the cherished memories she’s left behind along with the impact of her faithfulness, kindness, and love. This isn’t goodbye; it’s a gentle shift into everlasting peace as we carry forward the guidance of her memory.
The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Ontario Health at Home as well as the compassionate nurses at Erie Shores Campus of Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. In lieu of flowers, they ask that donations be made to Erie Shores Campus in honor of Marisa.
