ULAKOVICH, John

February 7, 1933 – June 30, 2026

We remember John Ulakovich with love. He left us peacefully on June 30, 2026 at the age of 93, surrounded by family. He was a loving husband to Ana Ulakovich (nee. Katkic), and they shared an amazing 62 years together. John was a devoted father to Joe Ulakovich and his wife Tammy, John Ulakovich and his wife Anna, and Frank Ulakovich and his wife Denise; all residing in Windsor. He was a proud Deda to Oliver and Sophia Ulakovich. He held dear relationships with cousins Ivan Canjar and family, Danica Grubesic and family, along with many other relatives in Croatia. Additionally, he was a caring brother-in-law to Joe Katkic and his wife Mary along with their family, as well as Mary Jurcic and her husband Joe with their family. The late Ivan Katkic is survived by his wife Mary and family; all from Hamilton, ON. John also leaves behind many friends and relatives in Croatia.

John dedicated 33 years of his career to Chrysler Canada before retiring. He was an active member of Unifor Local 444 as well as St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (CENTRAL Chapel) located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd E., phone number 519-253-7234, on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm to 9:00pm with parish prayers starting at 7:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 9:15am from the funeral home heading to St. Francis of Assisi Church for the Funeral Mass scheduled for 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or St. Francis of Assisi Church building fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
