Joshua Murray Laverne Wilson, born on January 2, 1989, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 37 on March 29, 2026, in Belleville. His absence has created a profound sorrow for everyone who cared about him.

Joshua was the loving son of Lisa Blackhurst and her late husband Norm, as well as the adored son of Mark Wilson and his wife Donna. He was a devoted brother to Ka Sandra Ashurst (Brian) and Norman Blackhurst.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rachel Toomer (nee Wheeler), Laverne Wright (Jane), Murray & Betty Wilson, along with his Uncle Kevin (Rick), who now embrace him warmly. He was a valued nephew to Denise Wright (Andy), Tammy Bellefeuille (Ben), Brian Wright, Katrina Wright (Bruce), Andrew Wright (Sam), Karen Shelly, Julie Harkness (Willie), Micheal Wilson (Karen), and Doris Curtis.

Joshua took great pride in being an uncle to Jade, Drayden, and Mariah.

Most importantly, Joshua was a proud father. His spirit lives on in his precious daughter Adalynn and his sons Hayden and Joshua. He also loved being a stepfather to Hunter & Paisley, who meant so much to him.

He will be sorely missed by his cousins Alicia (Ace), Victoria, Kyra, and Zack, along with many other extended family members who held him close to their hearts. Joshua had a lifelong friendship with Anthony Sparks (Asjia) that remained strong through the years.

Joshua lived life passionately and wholeheartedly. He enjoyed dirt jumping, BMX riding, fishing, music, and simply playing with Ninja Turtles. His greatest joy came from spending quality time with family and friends while embracing his role as a dad – something he truly cherished above all else.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 from 1-4pm at the Napanee Royal Canadian Legion located at 26 Mill St E in Napanee, Ontario.

In memory of Joshua’s life, contributions can be made to Addiction and Mental Health services.

Joshua will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, laughter, loyalty, and the deep love he had for those around him. While he is no longer with us physically, his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
