With great sadness, we share the news of Melinda Lussier (née Pilgrim) passing away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born in London, Ontario, she grew up in a military family, moving often before settling in Windsor, Ontario, where she met her soulmate, Mike Lussier. They enjoyed 44 wonderful years together as husband and wife.

Melinda is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her son and best friend, Richard; her daughter, Crystal (Robert Smeaton); and her granddaughter, Melinda, who brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind her brother Brian (Wendy) and sister-in-law Pat. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Marina Pilgrim (née Brockerville), along with her brother Wayne.

Melinda was dearly loved by her mother-in-law Agnes Lussier and will be missed deeply by many extended family members who embraced her as their own.

Throughout numerous health challenges that she faced bravely until God called her home for rest, Melinda always showed concern for others around her. She adored animals and found happiness in playing cards or putting together puzzles while cherishing every moment spent with loved ones. Her caring nature, resilient spirit, and determined attitude reflected who she truly was. Everyone who knew her will fondly remember these qualities.

A funeral service will take place at Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at 11 am. The family expresses gratitude to the first responders for their support and kindness during this time. In lieu of flowers, they encourage you to spend time with your loved ones and show kindness to one another.
