Burnley Dalton Timothy Mc Dougall passed away at Grey Gables on Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born in North Bay, Ontario on December 8, 1945, and lived in Balaclava, Grey County. He was 80 years old.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Zoë Mc Dougall (nee Fleming). He was a devoted father to Jessica Simon (Abdoul Sow), Rob Mc Dougall, Ryan Mc Dougall (Jen), Andrew Mc Dougall, and Matthew Simon (Crissy). As a proud Grandad, he will be remembered by Ian Simon, Greyson Simon, Amina Sow, and Djibril Sow. He was also a caring brother to Camilla Mc Dougall, Tim Mc Dougall (Mary Beth), and Mary Jane Thompson (Dennis), as well as a brother-in-law to Ann Fleming (Cliff Renfrew) and Rob Fleming (Michelle). Burnley will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Lucy Mc Dougall (nee Gosling) and his brother Bryan Mc Dougall.
Burnley had strong Christian beliefs. He enjoyed hunting and taught Shotokan Karate. He played defense in hockey for many years and sometimes helped out as a carpenter.
A memorial service celebrating Burnley’s life will take place at Meaford First Baptist Church located at 35 Trowbridge St W in Meaford, Ontario on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2:00 p. m. Pastor Jim Neale will officiate the service. There will be visitation from 12:45 p. m. to 1:45 p. m., followed by a reception in the church hall.
