It is with great sadness that we share the news of Robert (Bob) Douglas Linklater’s sudden passing on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 77.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Arlene, his children Mary Catherine Scally, Don (Melanie), Christine Hood (Rob), along with 11 grandchildren, his siblings Lynne Rankin (Doug), Jim (Debbie Jo), Jayne Tulloch, and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father Doug, mother Marion, and brother-in-law Tim Tulloch. He was a cherished son-in-law to Lena.
Bob began his career in funeral services in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and concluded it in South Surrey, B. C., after an impressive 45 years. He was a visionary leader and mentor who loved to inspire others to advance their careers in the funeral profession. Bob showed kindness to everyone he met and made a difference in countless lives. His strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ gave him resilience through life’s challenges. He often took time to share this faith with others. Bob also enjoyed spending time on the water as he was an enthusiastic boater.
Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Bob will miss him greatly.
