We are heartbroken to share that Kenneth Charles Mac Kinnon, known as Kenny, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1966, in New Waterford and was the youngest child of Gordon Mac Kinnon and Phillis Mackinnon (who has passed). He leaves behind his only son Brandon Mackinnon from Red Deer, Alberta, his brother Ray, and his nephew Kenny in New Waterford. He was predeceased by his brother Dougie.

Kenny spent most of his life surrounded by horses; racing and training them were his true loves. He dedicated a lot of time to the racetrack. Growing up and through his teenage years, he raced and trained at Tartan Downs in Sydney before moving to Ontario. For nearly two decades, he lived in Rookwood, Ontario, where he raced at Woodbine, Mohawk, and Flamboro Downs. In his younger days, Kenny worked at Fat Boys Pizza. Later on, he joined Big Daddies Pizza back in New Waterford and made some of the best pizza Nova Scotia is proud to offer. He loved golfing with his son Brandon whenever he got the chance; no fairway was ever safe from him. Darts were another passion for him; he was known for being accurate and skilled. Whether it was just for fun or serious play, he thrived at darts and truly loved the game.

Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. There will be no service.
