With heavy hearts, we share the news of Jason Paul Wesley Lovie’s passing on Sunday, July 19, 2026, after a brave fight against cancer. Throughout his journey, Jason displayed immense strength and grace, never revealing how ill he truly was. He took his last breath surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family.

Jason was a cherished husband and best friend to Cheryl-Ann Lovie, with whom he spent 26 wonderful years. Family meant everything to him, and his spirit of love, strength, and kindness will always be remembered by those he held dear. He is survived by his son Josh Lovie (Callie) and proudly embraced being a stepfather to Jannyssa Husk (Ryan), Paige Killing, and Hillary Griffith (Brent). As the world’s greatest grandfather to Quinn, Gracie, Lucy, Priscilla, Madden, and Navy, each grandchild brought him immeasurable happiness. He will be deeply missed by his parents Terry Lovie (predeceased by Lorraine) and Katharine Foster (predeceased by Doug Foster), mother-in-law Joan Massicotte, as well as his brothers Steve Lovie and David Lovie. His furry friends Gemma, Burns, and Loki (predeceased by Deuce) will also miss him dearly.

For 35 years, Jason worked as an HVAC technician where he truly excelled in his craft. Alongside Cheryl-Ann, they owned “The Comfort Guy,” running their business with honesty and integrity until selling it to a larger corporation in 2021. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix-this led to the family saying: “If Grandpa can’t fix it, we’re screwed!” Whenever family or friends needed assistance around their homes or any help at all, Jason was just a call away; he’d drop everything to lend a hand with a smile while swiftly figuring out solutions. His skills extended beyond work; from building custom copper stills to creating his famous “10th Line Shine Apple Pie,” but what shone brightest was the unconditional love he gave to his family.

When not fixing things or spending time with loved ones, you could find Jason at the racetrack. Known as the formidable “Wheel Man” behind the wheel of car #21c in the Bone Stock division at Delaware Speedway; he raced with pure passion focused on one goal… winning. Guided by his motto: “If you’re not first, you’re last!”, both on track and off track moments will forever be remembered.

To all Family members, racing friends from the track,, coworkers,, please join us in celebrating such an extraordinary life lived fully. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday July 26th,, starting at 1 p. m. at Craigowan Golf & Country Club., The service will promptly begin at 1:00 p. m. Afterward,, family and friends are invited for refreshments,, food,, fellowship,, as well as sharing memories while honoring Jason’s life.

Wareing Cremation Services has been entrusted with final arrangements located at 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock,, Ontario,. Your thoughts of remembrance may be shared here at www. wareingcremation. ca
