Michael Eugene Greco passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 77. He was the loving husband of Patricia Greco and a devoted father to Valerie Stewart (Wilfred) and Carey Landry (Christopher). Michael was a proud grandfather to Alex, Matthew, Zachary, Logan, and Cameron. He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Eugene Greco, as well as his brother Kerry Barnum (Anna). He will be fondly remembered by his brother Vincent Greco (Sue), sisters Kate Greco (Kerstin) and Peggy Greco (Simon), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and former colleagues.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on October 29, 1948, Michael cherished the time spent on Upton Road and at the family cottage in Pointe Aux Pins while fishing with his dad. After graduating from the University of Toronto, he went on to earn his Masters in Forest Management from SUNY College of Forestry at Syracuse University where he met Patricia. In 1975 they moved to Ottawa together to raise their daughters. Michael worked for several years in the federal civil service at Parks Canada and later at Canadian Heritage Rivers as a Senior Planner before switching to a private sector role with International Rose Reporting.

Michael had a passion for life and treasured every moment spent with his family. He had a great sense of humor and faced challenges without complaint; he was truly a fighter until the end.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff at Sarsfield Colonial Home for their outstanding care and support given to Michael over the last 12 years.

A private ceremony will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice.
