July 1, 1947-June 10, 2026

If you’re reading this, it means I’ve moved on to whatever comes next. I’m thankful for the life I lived, which came to an end on June 10, 2026 at our home on Mackenzie Beach with my loving family by my side.

<p I was born Elizabeth Anne Pellett on July 1, 1947, in Brampton, Ontario. I was the oldest of nine children of George and Anne Pellett. My first husband, Eric Schoenleber, tragically drowned on May 16, 1972. I raised our two daughters in Kakabeka Falls. While raising them, I went back to school. You might know me as the Director of Social Work at PAGH (where I met Ed), a grief counselor at Everest Funeral Home, or a Psychosocial Counselor at the cancer center. You may also remember my many travel adventures with Ed.

I am predeceased by my first husband, my parents, my sister Judy Dewar and my brothers David Tim and Chris.

I am survived by my husband Ed; daughters Natalie Hotson (Craig) and Tamara Rose; grandchildren Jon Hotson (Katrina), David Hotson, and Haley Rose-Lyon (John); two great-grandchildren Jacob and Abbie Hotson; step-family members Gretchen, Mark (Alyson), and Hilary (Joe); grandchildren Devin, Eva, Dani, Veronica, and Jade; brothers-in-law Allen (Linda) and Fran (Barb); sisters-in-law Jackie (Jeff) and Heidi; as well as my siblings Mary Lou Petrella, Rosemary Beatty Pellett, Robin (Fawnda), Joan Binetti (Vito) and their families.

Ed, Natalie and Tamara invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life on Friday July 10 at 2:00 pm at Hilldale Lutheran Church or streaming live from their Facebook page www. facebook. com/hilldalelutheran.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr La Ferrier; NP Erin; nurses Joanna, Carli, Kat and Jenna at CMH clinic; Dr Benzanson; NP Megan; nurses Eric and Jeff who helped care for me at home. I’m truly grateful for everyone who has supported Ed and our family during this time.

If you’d like to make a donation in lieu of flowers please consider Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation (Complex Malignant Hematology Program), Hilldale Lutheran Church or Magnus Theatre or Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre. Online condolences can be shared at www. sargentandson. com.

Be kind. Live in the moment.
