It is with sadness that we share the passing of Carol Ferguson, age 85. She left us surrounded by her loved ones on August 12, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Carol was born in East Kildonan, Winnipeg, where she grew up with her four siblings.
She later met and married her true love Bill Ferguson on July 4th, 1969. Together they welcomed two sons, Brian and Glen. After several relocations due to Bill’s job as a Boilermaker, they finally made their home in Thunder Bay on Autumnwood Dr for many years.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed various hobbies such as crafting, bingo nights, and antiquing. In her younger days, she liked to bowl and cross-country ski. As a member of Beta Sigma Phi for several years, she contributed greatly to the organization and formed many lasting friendships through it as well as during Bill’s work adventures.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Stelle Mc Laren from Winnipeg along with all of her immediate siblings.
Carol will be laid to rest alongside Bill’s parents at Riverside Cemetery. A private service will take place there on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Friends are welcome to join the family if they wish. If desired, donations can be made to any charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
