Brenda Marilyn Hardy, who was born on March 10, 1951, and belonged to the Ojibwe community of Rocky Bay First Nation, will be remembered for her kind-hearted, loving nature and playful spirit. She transitioned to the spirit world on the morning of June 30, 2026.
She leaves a wonderful memory as a mother, sister, cousin, aunt, great-aunt, cat grandma, and friend to many. Her sons, Jeremy and William “Ben” Hardy, will always treasure their moments with her.
Brenda had a strong love for her family, her cats, yard sales, thrifting adventures, and the countless puzzles she enjoyed over the years. Her company provided comfort through honest talks and silly jokes that sparked endless laughter among those lucky enough to know her.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Light a candle or lay down tobacco in honor of her beautiful spirit. Offering marshmallow bananas and green grapes to the land would also be a lovely tribute.
When our physical bodies pass away, our spirits are set free to begin their journey. It’s part of life’s cycle where the spirit returns home to its origins.
A memorial service celebrating Brenda’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
