We are heartbroken to share that Bradley “Brad” Thomas Scott has passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on September 5, 2026, at the age of 66.
He is survived by his sons, Ben and Eric; his brother, Charles, and sister-in-law, Rosann; along with many close friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Brad was born in North Bay, Ontario, on June 16, 1960. He was the second son of Charlie and Pat Scott. During his childhood, the Scott family moved their home and business to Downsview, Ontario. They settled in a lively townhouse community where Brad learned to swim and skate. In 1968, the family relocated to Bramalea, where Brad spent his formative years. It was there he attended school and formed many friendships that would remain significant throughout his life.
Throughout his youth, Brad was passionate about hockey. He was an outstanding player for the AAA Bramalea minor hockey team.
After high school graduation, Brad enrolled at Sheridan College to study Business and Accounting. This paved the way for a successful career in manufacturing, leasing, logistics, and financial investments.
Above all else, he was a dedicated father. He took great pride in raising his two sons, Ben and Eric. Being actively involved in their lives was always a priority for him. He coached their hockey teams and supported them through every phase of their childhood while offering guidance and encouragement whenever needed.
As they grew older, he continued to take immense pride in their achievements while helping steer them as they navigated their careers and lives. He felt an overwhelming sense of pride watching them become remarkable men. Their flourishing careers reflect the great parenting he provided throughout their journeys.
Brad had a love for music, sports, golf, and fishing. He enjoyed laughter and never let things get too serious. If he walked through any door during an occasion you could count on it becoming more enjoyable with laughter all around.
He will be remembered fondly for the love he showed towards his family as well as for building lasting friendships throughout his life while creating countless memories with those closest to him.
His absence will be deeply felt but will live on forever in our hearts.
A gathering to celebrate Brad’s life will take place at Osprey Valley Golf Course on September 27, 2026 at 2:00 p. m. Please feel free to bring along a story or two about how Brad brought joy and laughter into your life.
