A Toronto Uber driver has been arrested following a sexual assault investigation in Burlington.
A woman reported that she was assaulted in the south parking lot of the Burlington GO Station located at 2101 Fairview St. around 5:15 p. m. on June 16, according to Halton Regional Police.
The incident occurred after a conversation with a man, police stated.
Police noted that the woman quickly left the parking area; however, the man followed her to a nearby business. There, he approached her and assaulted her again, they added.
Fortunately, the woman did not sustain any physical injuries, police confirmed.
On July 26, Mandeep Singh, 25, from Etobicoke, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Halton Regional Police released a photo of Mandeep Singh, 25, from Etobicoke, as they believe there may be more victims.
Singh remained in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Milton.
At the time of the alleged assault, Singh was working as an Uber driver. Investigators are worried that there could be other victims out there.
