Bill Belluz

The family of Bill Belluz is heartbroken to announce his passing on Sunday, August 9, 2026, after a short illness at the age of 83.
Bill was born in 1943 to Mary and Joseph Del Bel Belluz. He attended St. Stans Catholic School and Selkirk High School. In 1964, Bill married Carol (Zaroski) and together they raised two children, Michele and Brian.
He worked as a sheet metal worker for most of his career and eventually became an estimator at Nu Tech Sheet Metal. Bill took great pride in his work and was well-respected for his expertise.
Bill had a sweet tooth and enjoyed candy treats, watching TV shows, playing games on his i Pad, as well as visiting Grand Portage and casinos. He always looked forward to visits from Michele’s dog Hunter, which brightened his day.
Bill leaves behind his wife Carol, daughter Michele Smykalski, son Brian Belluz; grandchildren Megan Squirrell (Brendan), Vanessa Hickey (Andrew), Brandon Belluz-Vincent; great-grandchildren Briar and Mason Squirrell, Clara and Emelia Hickey and Spencer Huston. He is also survived by brother Jim and Lynda Belluz along with Melissa Hiscox (Grant and Cameron); sister Sylvia Taylor (Shaun) with family Tracy and Tim; Taylor with families; Carol’s siblings Joan Mc Kay, John Zaroski, Eleanor Pentick, Donna and Coco Costa; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by parents Mary and Joseph Del Bel Belluz; brother David; uncle Galo Gagliardi.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at TBRHSC for their exceptional care during Bill’s many ER visits. Special thanks also to the team at St. Joseph’s for their compassion in his final days.
We extend our gratitude to Dr Henry for her dedication to Bill’s health. Thanks to Donna and Coco for being there when he needed support. A special mention goes out to the friends at Suomi Koti apartments where we lived-Bill really enjoyed it there.
As per Bill’s wishes, there will only be a private celebration held later on.
