MARKHAM, Ontario – The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham has secured a vital local partner just before its first race weekend, naming the K-Line Group of Companies as an official partner for the Aug. 14-16 NTT INDYCAR SERIES event.
This Canadian utility and high-voltage power provider will play an essential role behind the scenes in making this new street race happen by supplying generators, mobile utility infrastructure, and power distribution services throughout the circuit.
Based in nearby Stouffville, Ontario, K-Line will assist with crucial race operations including track systems, broadcast compounds, vendor areas, hospitality spaces, and fan zones across the 2.19-mile temporary street circuit.
The partnership has a motorsports connection through Dalton Kellett, a former NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver who now serves as president of K-Line Insulators Ltd., one of the company’s key divisions.
“The K-Line Group of Companies is very excited to partner with the team at Green Savoree to provide event power services for the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham,” Kellett said. “As Ontario’s premier one-source utility solutions provider, K-Line is well equipped to serve the power supply and distribution needs of a complex event such as this.”
For Kellett, this partnership also offers a chance to support a significant event right in his hometown.
“With the K-Line Insulators factory located just down the road and K-Line crews frequently active in the area, this is a unique and meaningful opportunity for us to support a world-class event that will benefit our local community,” he said.
This agreement expands an ongoing relationship between K-Line and Green Savoree Racing Promotions, which promotes and owns the event. Event officials noted that K-Line’s expertise made them an ideal choice for supporting Markham’s first-ever Indy Car race.
“Building a temporary race circuit in the heart of Markham requires an incredible amount of heavy lifting, and power infrastructure is central to making it all work,” said event President Jeff Atkinson. “Our team at Green Savoree has long trusted the Kellett family and K-Line as dependable partners.”
