(Photo Courtesy of Halton Regional Police Service) A man aged 25 who was involved in youth hockey in the Halton area has been charged following an alleged sexual assault against a teenage girl last year. Authorities report that the girl met with Meister in late 2025 in Oakville, where she claims she was sexually assaulted. Fortunately, police noted that she did not sustain any physical injuries. After an investigation, Canaan (Cane) Meister from Oakville was arrested on Sunday and faces charges of sexual assault and sexual interference. : Halton police recover $5M worth of drugs in service’s largest meth seizure Meister is currently being held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing in Milton. He is actively involved with youth hockey programs in Oakville and Burlington, and authorities suspect there may be additional victims.
