A federal offender, who is known to hang out in both Kitchener and Midland, is once again at large.
Evan Haney, 29, is currently serving a two-year and three-month sentence due to multiple convictions including break and enter, assault with a weapon, and theft under $5,000.
This isn’t the first time the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been on the lookout for Haney in Waterloo Region.
Back in December, OPP issued a notice indicating that Haney might have been spotted in Kitchener, Waterloo or Cambridge. He was arrested shortly after that in Barrie.
On Monday, OPP announced they are searching for Haney again because he has violated his statutory release.
He’s described as an Indigenous man with brown hair and hazel eyes. He wears brown-rimmed glasses.
<p Haney has several tattoos including the Toronto Maple Leafs’ logo on the side of his neck, ‘519’ on his throat, and a smoking clown on his left forearm.
If you know where he is, please contact the police.
