The remains of a missing teenager from Ontario, who authorities believe was murdered, have been located in northern Saskatchewan.
RCMP reported that human remains were discovered earlier this month during a scheduled search near Pelican Narrows and were later confirmed by an autopsy to belong to 16-year-old Jay’siiah Webb-Long.
The young man from Brampton was thought to be residing in the village about 500 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon when he went missing in May 2025.
Mounties indicated that this was the last time he communicated with his family back in Ontario via social media.
He was initially reported as missing to Peel Region police in Ontario before the homicide unit of the Saskatchewan RCMP took over the investigation in July 2025, deeming his disappearance suspicious.
RCMP stated they suspect the teen’s death to be a homicide but haven’t disclosed any details regarding how it occurred or potential suspects involved.
