Several homes in a Mississauga neighborhood were evacuated Saturday evening as firefighters responded to an ongoing house fire, Peel Regional Police reported.
Police stated that the fire was reported near Ruperts Gate Drive and Russell View Road.
As of 9:45 p. m., there had been no reports of injuries.
In a post on social media platform X, Peel police mentioned that nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution while emergency crews managed the situation.
Multiple roads were closed, including Glen Erin Drive at Middlebury Drive and Ruperts Gate Drive at Russell View Road.
Authorities urged drivers to steer clear of the area.
