A man sustained non life-threatening injuries after being shot at a commercial property in Richmond Hill.
He was taken to the hospital following a shooting in Markham on Wednesday afternoon, while police are on the lookout for a suspect.
The incident occurred near Yonge Street and Bay Thorn Drive, just south of Highway 407 in the Langstaff area.
York Regional Police (YRP) stated they received calls about the situation just before 12:30 p. m., reporting that an adult male victim had been shot by an unknown male suspect at “a commercial premise.”
The suspect left the scene.
According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
There is no current danger to public safety.
However, police are advising people to steer clear of the area.
