A tragic incident on Highway 6 in Guelph resulted in the death of one person Sunday night.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a pedestrian lost their life in a collision involving several vehicles.
Just after midnight, Highway 6 was closed between Stone Road West and Kortright Road West. The closure continued throughout most of the Monday morning rush hour for an investigation.
“A pedestrian involved in the collision suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” read an OPP release.
“There were no other reported injuries.”
Police reopened Highway 6 shortly after 7:30 a. m. on Monday.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police.
