Guelph police report that two men from Toronto have been taken into custody and face charges related to a human trafficking case involving the suspected sexual exploitation of two young people from Guelph. These offenses are said to have occurred over several months across various cities in Ontario.

The Guelph Police Service Human Trafficking Unit led the investigation, which revealed that the alleged incidents took place between September 2025 and February 2026. Authorities believe that social media, particularly Snapchat, was used to recruit and control the victims before they were trafficked throughout southwestern Ontario.
