The 19-year-old who was shot in Brampton, Ont., referred to the man who came to his rescue as his “guardian angel,” the Good Samaritan recalled.
The Good Samaritan, a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous, shared with that he dashed outside after a vehicle crashed into his driveway.
Peel Regional Police reported that the teenager was discovered with gunshot wounds inside a car on a residential street close to Sandalwood Parkway East and Bramalea Road around 10:30 p. m. Wednesday.
The neighbor mentioned that he initially thought the driver might be drunk, but when he started talking to the young man, he realized he had been shot in both legs.

Taylor Halfyard stated they were called out for a motor vehicle collision that happened in a driveway, where they found the victim. “Peel Regional Police would like to thank the Good Samaritan who provided life-saving assistance to help ensure this victim survived,” Halfyard noted. Halfyard clarified that the shooting did not take place on the street where the accident happened. “Investigators are still trying to determine exactly where the shooting occurred,” he said.
