It’s not just the heat, but also the humidity.
In fact, both will be a factor in southern Ontario over the next few days.
From Barrie to Collingwood and down to the Greater Toronto Area, Environment Canada has issued an orange heat alert.
Forecasters predict daytime temperatures will hit between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, possibly reaching as high as 36. Nighttime won’t bring much relief either, with lows expected between 21 and 24. The hottest days are likely to be Wednesday and Thursday, with humidex values possibly climbing into the low 40s.
Additionally, there’s a yellow heat warning for northern Simcoe County, including areas like Midland and Orillia, along with parts of Muskoka. Although temperatures won’t differ much from other areas, humidex readings might stay below 40.
This hot and sticky weather is set to continue through Friday and may extend into the weekend.
