Police report that a man serving a sentence of over four years went missing in August.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is informing the public that a federal offender who escaped custody on Aug. 24, 2026, has been captured in Barrie, Ont. Bradley Elliott was found and taken into custody by the Barrie Police Service. Elliott is currently serving a sentence of four years and one month for: Operation while prohibited (x3) Identity fraud with intent to obtain property Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 Obstruct public/peace officer Dangerous operation of a conveyance Motor vehicle theft Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon Possession of weapon contrary to prohibition order (x2) Assault with a weapon Personate peace officer Fraud under $5,000 The Provincial ROPE Squad thanks the public and media for their help in this case. *************************
