Police have issued an arrest warrant for a mother from Ontario, claiming she took her child to Russia earlier this year and hasn’t “made no attempt” to come back.
The South Simcoe Police Service released the arrest warrant details in a news update on Monday, stating that the child involved was an infant.
They mentioned that in March, officers began looking into a situation involving a child living with their parents in Innisfil, Ont. The father reportedly contacted the police after saying the mother had taken their child to Russia under the pretense of visiting family.

Meanwhile, the father went to family court and got an order demanding that the mother return to Canada with their child. Police noted she didn’t comply. Story continues below Now, investigators are charging the 40-year-old woman with abduction and disobeying a court order. A warrant for her arrest has been issued.
