In Loving Memory

With heavy yet thankful hearts, we share the news of Margaret Loeppky’s passing in Warman, Saskatchewan, at the age of 89. Throughout her life, she remained young at heart and had a genuine love for life that affected many around her.

Margaret will be fondly remembered by her husband, John Loeppky, married for 67 years, her children Reg Loeppky (Donna Prystupa), Corbin Loeppky (Rhonda), Mona Rask (Darrin), and grandchildren Jesse Rask (Laura), Simon Rask, Levi Rask (Olivia), Claudia Huber (Garrett), Caden Loeppky, and Mieka Loeppky. She is also survived by her sister Anne Dyck (Henry) of St. Catherines, Ontario, who will miss her greatly. Sadly, all her other siblings have passed on; they include Abraham Klassen (Margaret), Isaac Klassen (Georgina), Henry Klassen (Joyce), Peter Klassen (Tina), Jacob Klassen (Tina), Helena Wiebe (Henry), Elizabeth Schultz (Peter), David Klassen, and John Klassen (Helen). Margaret loved all her grandchildren and their families. She had numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and the U. S. whom she adored. Many friends from church, school, and work provided kindness and support over the years; she cherished them deeply. Her absence will be felt by many friends and family members.

Margaret was born between Warman and Osler on a small farm where she grew up before attending Altona school until Grade 9. After leaving school a year later, she began working as a Nursing Assistant at Saskatoon Sanatorium from 1954-1961. In fall 1958, she met John and they married on July 18, 1959. A few years later came children. As a devoted member of the Warman community, she took part in various local committees and activities over the years. Curling was a special interest of hers that led to lasting friendships in that circle. Margaret loved games and puzzles too-she was fiercely competitive when it came to Scrabble! Music played an important role in her life as well; she enjoyed playing guitar with John. Traveling across Canada and beyond brought her joy alongside many camping trips shared with friends and family. Faith held significant meaning for Margaret; both she and John were baptized in 1980-and even in her final days, she looked forward to heaven with joy.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Paul’s hospital in Saskatoon for their exceptional care during this time of need. Margaret formed special bonds with her ICU nurses as well as doctors who looked after her.

We invite everyone to join us for a memorial service honoring Margaret where we can share stories together while celebrating memories made throughout the years. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to either the Canadian Lung Association or Canadian Heart Association-or any charity dear to your heart.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday April 11th ,2026 at 2:00 pm at Osler Mission Chapel located at 110 Sixth Ave., Osler SK. There will be light refreshments served following the service along with burial afterward taking place nearby at newer Warman Memorial Gardens situated along Range Rd3051 just south of town. We’ll always hold onto memories of her within our hearts.

Martens Warman Funeral Home feels privileged having been entrusted with Mrs. Loeppky’s arrangements.
