Veronica Boretsky passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on June 8, 2026. She was the loving daughter of Walter (2000) and Mary (2004) Boretsky, and sister to Rev. Harry Boretsky OSBM (1994). Her sister Rose (Julie) and the extended Emery family will hold her in their hearts. Veronica spent 35 devoted years as a respected teacher and coach at WECDSB, where she was beloved by both students and colleagues. After retiring from education, she traveled to Africa, Australia, and Europe, experiencing adventures like going on a safari and biking through Europe. She kept her love for sports alive with kayaking, cycling, and sailing. Proud of her Ukrainian heritage, Veronica’s spirit will continue to shine in the lives of those who knew her. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the nurses and staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare – Palliative Care unit for their outstanding care for Veronica. Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234). Visitation will take place at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive.) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens (1100 Division Rd.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare – Palliative Care Unit or Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
