Join us in celebrating the life of Karl Hult (March 1, 1946 – April 30, 2026): a loving family man, mentor, coach…an iconic figure in our community.
On June 14, 2026, please come together with family at the SSM Moose Lodge, located at 543 Trunk Road, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario from 1 to 4pm to honor the incredible life of Karl J Hult. There will be a cash bar available and lunch along with refreshments will be provided.
Karl was a much-loved (and now greatly missed) family man, true friend, mentor to many, and a well-known local sports figure. His enthusiasm and hard work have made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His dedication to honesty and excellence inspired countless young athletes and individuals from all backgrounds to take pride in themselves and always strive for their best.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Karl was a genuine friend and mentor to so many people. He constantly encouraged others to achieve their full potential. His kindness, leadership skills, and spirit will always be remembered fondly; his impact will continue inspiring future generations. As we share stories and memories about him today, we celebrate not only his talents in sports but also the positive influence he had wherever he went.
Come join us as we celebrate Karl’s life fittingly: surrounded by family and friends while showing gratitude as we reminisce about the moments that made us cheer, the lessons learned together, and the connections built over time. If you’re willing to share your thoughts or stories about how you knew Karl-like how you met him or an amusing memory-you’re invited to write it down. Please include your name and contact details as the family wishes to compile these memories into a book for friends and family; this might inspire future generations while honoring a life that was well-lived.
A family memorial service along with Masonic rites will take place before the public celebration from noon until 1:00 pm. Masons are asked to gather at 11:45 am at the Moose Lodge.
In honor of his spirit of helping others, please consider making donations in his memory to Shriners Hospitals.
