Authorities from the Durham Regional Police Service are investigating what led to a crash that left four teens injured, including one who was airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto early Thursday morning.
Four teenagers are currently in stable condition at a hospital following a serious crash in rural Whitby, Ont., where two of them were ejected from their vehicle.
A 16-year-old girl was airlifted to a trauma center in Toronto, while two male teens were transported via ground ambulance to other trauma centers. A 14-year-old boy had only minor injuries.
The Durham Regional Police Service stated that the accident occurred around 5:35 a. m. on Myrtle Road West, between Baldwin Street and Ashburn Road.
Investigators continue to look into how the crash happened.
