The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that two people suspected of impaired driving were taken into custody over the weekend.

The first incident occurred on Saturday night, where a man from Woodslee was charged with impaired driving following a crash in Lakeshore.

Authorities responded to a single-vehicle accident on Lakeshore Road 113 around 10:47 p. m.

A car ended up in a ditch.

The 41-year-old man faces charges for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol, as well as failure or refusal to comply with a demand.

The second arrest took place on Sunday evening in Kingsville. OPP patrol officers acted on a traffic complaint just after 8 p. m. on Main Street East.

A Kingsville resident, aged 44, is charged with driving with an elevated blood-alcohol concentration.

Both drivers are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 8. They also had their licenses suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for one week.
