MORIN-GANNON, Bernadette “Bernie” (nee Jones)

Bernadette “Bernie” Morin-Gannon passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife to Edmond “Vern” Gannon for over 40 years. She leaves behind her beloved children Robert and Jean-Paul “John” (Tina), along with cherished grandchildren Cheyenne Morin (Paul), Kayla Ryan, Mikaela Morin (Nik) and great-grandchildren Brysan and Aurora. Bernie was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel Jones. She had a close bond with her siblings: late Edna (late Jim), Kathleen (late Stan), Veronica (Ken), late Patrick (late Susan), Frederick and Linda. She was also a sister-in-law to late Wayne, Al, Bob, late Peter, Larry and Max. Many nieces, nephews and extended family will remember her fondly. Her lifelong friends Doris and Anne will also miss her dearly.

After many years of dedicated service, Bernie retired from St. Clair College. Family was everything to her; she took great joy in being a mother, grandmother, and friend while treasuring every moment spent with her loved ones. Her commitment to her church was remarkable; she volunteered at Our Lady of Atonement and was always ready to help others. Her presence brought comfort and strength to all who knew her.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 2-5 p. m. and again from 7-9 p. m. Family and friends are welcome to gather directly at Our Lady of The Atonement, located at 2940 Forest Glade Dr., Windsor on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 for visitation starting at 10:00 a. m., leading up to the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a. m., followed by cremation. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or Parkinson Canada. A livestream of the funeral mass can be viewed here. Online condolences may be left at www. windsorchapel. com.
