Ontario Provincial Police report that a 64-year-old man has lost his life after a multi-vehicle accident in Norfolk County on Friday afternoon. At around 3:14 p. m., emergency responders arrived at the scene of a collision involving two sport utility vehicles (SUVs), a cargo van, and a transport truck on Highway 24 just outside Simcoe, Ont. The driver of the van, aged 64, suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. One SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The second SUV driver and the transport truck driver were unharmed. Highway 24 between Windham Road 12 and Thirteenth Street West, as well as Concession 13 Townsend between Highway 24 and Cloet Road were shut down for several hours while investigators worked at the scene.
