The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is excited to announce the opening of its Durham Region Veterinary Clinic.
This clinic was initially focused on caring for animals under the Ontario SPCA’s supervision, but it is now broadening its services by allowing public pet owners to bring in their dogs and cats for spay/neuter surgeries.
You can find it at 1505 Wentworth Street in Whitby.
“The official opening of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Durham Region Veterinary Clinic represents an important investment in the health and well-being of animals in our community,” says Shannon Stephenson, Operations Manager of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Durham Region Veterinary Clinic. “We are proud to provide accessible spay/neuter services that support pet families and help reduce pet overpopulation.”
The expansion of the clinic was made possible through generous donations from several sources including the Eric S. Margolis Family Foundation, Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, the Durham Community Foundation, the Town of Whitby, and various private donors.
