The County of Simcoe is notifying residents about the following service changes during the Easter holiday from Friday, April 3, 2026, to Monday, April 6, 2026. Curbside Waste Collection and Waste Drop-off Facilities Garbage and organics collection will continue as scheduled since there are no changes to the County’s waste collection plan. For information regarding recycling collection, please visit https://www. circularmaterials. ca/resident-communities/simcoe-county/ . All County Waste Drop-off Facilities will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. However, the Matchedash facility will be open on Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6 from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. Residents should note that spring leaf and yard waste collection starts during the weeks of April 6 and April 13, aligning with your garbage collection week. LINX Transit LINX Transit services won’t operate on Friday, April 3 (except for Route 4). Route 4 will follow a Sunday schedule on Friday, April 3. Regular service for all routes resumes on Monday, April 6. Please check all route schedules at https://nextlinx. simcoe. ca/. County Administration Centre (Midhurst) & Service Simcoe Contact Centre The Administration Centre and Service Simcoe Contact Centre will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. Ontario Works and Children Services All Ontario Works and Children Services offices will not be open on Friday, April 3 or Monday, April 6. Lake Simcoe Regional Airport The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will remain operational on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. Simcoe County Museum The Simcoe County Museum is closed on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5.
