A motorcyclist from Brampton lost his life after a crash early this morning in eastern Ontario.

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the OPP reported that they received calls just after midnight today (April 23) about a motorcycle colliding with a guardrail in the Village of Bath, located 25 km west of Kingston.

Unfortunately, the 27-year-old rider from Brampton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

“Bath Road remained closed in both directions for several hours between Sir John Johnson Drive and Lennox and Addington County Road 4 for the on-site investigation, with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams. Bath Road has since reopened,” said the OPP in a statement issued later.

Anyone who may have information or video footage related to this incident is encouraged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers. ca.
