SAYEGH, Faridah

December 20th 1938 – October 10th 2025

Faridah passed away on October 10th 2025 after a two-year struggle with cancer. She was a loving mother to Mary and a devoted wife to the late Nimer for many years. Faridah is now at peace with her parents and her siblings.

Born in Lebanon, Faridah had many family members still living there. After moving to Canada, she met Nimer, and together they settled in Windsor to be near family. She stood by her husband through thick and thin until his passing in 2016. Family meant everything to Faridah; she always looked out for her nieces Ghada and Mary, and enjoyed chatting with her sister-in-law Jackleen over the phone.

She was an active member of St Ignatius of Antioch Orthodox Church throughout her life. Proud to be both a wife and mother, she loved crocheting and playing with her daughter’s small dog Lulu.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E.) on Thursday October 16th 2025 from 6pm-9pm, with parish prayers at 7:30pm. The visitation will continue at St Ignatius of Antioch Orthodox Church (1808 Labelle St) from 10:30am until the Funeral Service begins at 11am on Friday October 17th 2025. Burial will follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens (1100 Division Rd). Donations in memory of Faridah can be made to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation or Society of St Vincent De Paul.
