Pauline May (nee Girard) passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2026. She is now reunited with her dear husband Wilfred (2000). She was a devoted mother to Phil (Mary Ann), Raymond, and Marie Hawkins. Proud Mémé to Amanda (Cameron), Robert (Kate), Natalie (Brandon), Derek, Grace, and Emily. She was predeceased by her siblings Ella (Edgar), Orville (Bonnie), Eleanor (Isidore), along with brother-in-law Raymond (Mary Jane) and sister-in-law Pauline (Paul). Many nieces, nephews, and extended family will greatly miss her.
During retirement, she and Wilfred loved traveling across Canada and the United States, especially enjoying their winters in Florida. Pauline had a great time playing cards and Bingo. She also found joy in painting, crafting, and working on puzzles. Friday dinners with her ladies’ group were a special tradition for her as were Sunday visits to the fruit stand with her sister-in-law Pauline. She took pride in being active with the Teamsters Retirement Group as well. At Seasons Royal Oak, she loved connecting with new people and being involved in their small community. Above everything else, she adored her grandchildren.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the Staff of Sandwich Town at Village of Aspen Lake for their dedicated care and compassion shown to Pauline during her three years there.
