Two Suspects Sought Following Armed Robberies in Pickering

Authorities are on the lookout for two individuals after a couple of businesses in Pickering were held up last Friday.

Officers received a call to the Circle K convenience store on Kingston Road shortly after 1 a. m. on March 20. A man waited for customers to leave before he approached the counter and demanded cash from an employee. He kept his hand in his jacket pocket, making it seem like he was armed. According to police, the suspect made off with cash before escaping on foot.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

The first suspect is described as Black, around 5’10” with a heavy build.

In addition, law enforcement is searching for another Black male connected to an armed robbery at a cash advance business in Pickering later that same afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at The Cash Shop on Kingston Road just before 4 p. m. on March 20 after a man forced his way into an employee-only area and threatened an employee with what appeared to be a weapon while demanding cash. Police reported that this suspect stole electronics along with over $10,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.

The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

The second suspect is described as Black, aged between 25-30 years old, approximately 6’2” tall with a slim build.
