Police have arrested Clayton Mc Farlane, left, and Darnyl Campbell.

Halton Regional Police have taken two individuals into custody after a number of home burglaries that took place last fall.

Authorities report that the homes were generally targeted in Oakville and Burlington during daytime hours when residents were away. It’s believed that the suspects forced open locked front doors and searched through bedrooms, taking cash, jewelry, and other valuable items.

Clayton Mc Farlane, 44, from Oshawa, and Darnyl Campbell, 33, from Grimsby, are facing four charges of break and enter along with four counts of disguise with intent.

Both suspects appeared in Milton Court on March 6, 2026, where they were remanded into custody.

Police indicated that extensive video canvassing and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and community members contributed to their arrests.

“Break-ins like these are more than property crimes; they violate the sense of safety people expect in their own homes,” said Halton Deputy Chief Roger Wilkie. “Residents in the Orchard and Alton Village neighborhoods of Burlington as well as those in north Burlington and Oakville were directly impacted. Our investigators worked tirelessly to identify and charge those responsible.”

Police say they are continuing their investigation.
