Authorities are searching for several suspects after a firearm was discharged into a parked car in a Pickering parking lot on Friday night.

Durham Police arrived at the scene of the shooting at a business located at Brock Road and Bayly Street shortly after 10 p. m. on Friday. According to police, the suspects were seen visiting the establishment, and after they left, one of them fired a weapon in the parking area.

When officers reached the location, they discovered a vehicle with a bullet hole. The suspects had already escaped.

No injuries were reported to law enforcement, and investigators believe this incident is isolated.

If anyone has cellphone footage, dashcam recordings, surveillance video, or any information regarding this event, they are encouraged to contact D/Cst. Singh from the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3962.

People can also share anonymous tips with Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www. durhamregionalcrimestoppers. ca where tipsters may qualify for a cash reward.
