MCNAB/BRAESIDE — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking into a two-vehicle accident that led to two deaths on Highway 17.
The incident, involving a pickup truck and another car, took place on Saturday, Jan. 31 just after 1 p. m. on Highway 17 between Anderson Road and Mc Callum Drive, in the Township of Mc Nab/Braeside, located between Renfrew and Arnprior.
The drivers involved were a 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa, both of whom have been pronounced dead.
Highway 17 was shut down between Anderson Road and Goshen Road until late Saturday night to allow investigators to examine the scene.
