Region of Peel – Detectives from the 11 Division Break and Enter Auto Response Unit along with the Community Intervention and Response Team have retrieved 13 vehicles linked to an organized auto theft ring, valued at over $800,000.
In October 2025, law enforcement began investigating a group involved in stealing multiple vehicles. The probe led to search warrants executed at two homes in Mississauga and concluded in March 2026, resulting in the recovery of a total of 13 vehicles.
This operation led to the arrest of two brothers from Mississauga who are now facing a combined total of 55 criminal charges:
Sulman Dar (Left), 28-years-old:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x24 Fail to Comply with Release Order x23
Shahroz Dar (Right), 24-years-old
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x3 Theft of Motor Vehicle x4 Fail to Comply with Release Order
Both suspects were detained while awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice. At the time they were arrested, both individuals were already under court-imposed release orders for failing to comply with previous conditions, robbery, and property-related offenses.
Peel Regional Police are actively working to combat auto theft crimes, contributing to nearly a 15 percent decline in stolen vehicle incidents so far in 2026 compared to last year.
