A serious single-vehicle accident has led to a temporary road closure north of Wiarton.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene on Mar Sideroad, situated between Highway 6 and Bruce Road 9, just before noon on Saturday.
The Grey Bruce OPP haven’t provided details about the extent of any injuries but referred to the incident as “serious.” Authorities also informed drivers that the closure of Mar Sideroad will likely be prolonged because of the ongoing investigation and clean-up.
“Please avoid the area and use alternate routes,” police said in a social media post.
Updates regarding the situation are expected from law enforcement later in the day.
